Amma Kissiwaa Amoateng (Ghanaian) was born in 1988 in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. She has always been in touch with Agriculture especially in small holder farm activities. This is where her love for Agric stems. She has been studying Agriculture since 2003 when she went to the Senior Secondary School. She holds a second class lower division in BSc Agricultural Science from the University of Cape Coast. Amma is pursuing MPhil Crop Science at the University of Cape Coast and specialising in Plant Protection. She very much interested in pursuing Agriculture on a large scale in future with focus on contract farming and the out-grower systems. Amma hopes to use sustainable Agriculture and protection knowledge to help alleviate poverty in small scale farm households. And also, her utmost desire is to pave way for more females to come into Agriculture and help make agriculture “cool” again for the youth.
